Can a sleeping pill coated with Journalists' blood with a cup of Cholera infected water put the awakening back to sleep?

This week was so disturbed on so many levels, it's like the scenarios of the last year being played again and the hot shots in Washington are bragging about how stable the situation is and how they have accomplished their mission for the "new Iraq".

The Cholera is back to action with so many infected cases and more awareness about the disease; for example in the small hospital that I work in now we received orders from the ministry to do Cholera investigation for any diarrhea case that attend the hospital and I must say that the ministry of health is doing a very good job to contain the disease but containing such disease needs cooperation between several ministries, the ministry of health made a program to give (for free) water sterilization tablets for the people through the governmental clinics and hospitals depending on the ration cards, daily I witness many poor Iraqi families coming to the hospital I work in which lies in the suburban of Baghdad to take their pills and I should mention the good educational posters' program about Cholera and since we are in it and I'm talking about health and it's ministry I should say that the new minister in my opinion is a real Iraqi and I'm so proud because he is the minister of the ministry I work for, he did so many good things and the ministry have much improved since he came whether the improvement was on the security level or the functional level…the ministry became a safe place to visit after it was a bunker for AlMahdi army and a man used to think million times before he goes there, even the posters for the religious clerics are noticeably less…the ministry is functioning a lot better now although in my clinic I don't have filling materials, the drilling instruments are not working even the light is not working and the anesthesia depleted today, I was able to offer the extraction treatment only although I personally look at extraction as a destruction rather than a treatment in most cases but I can't blame the ministry for this because they have massive amounts of everything but I should blame the district's health office because I literally begged them so many times (even hair grew on my tongue as the famous Iraqi saying) to support me with filling materials but it's like talking to deaf people. The problem and what really makes me sad is that the residents of the area I work in thinks that it's my fault or I don't want to treat them! I'm thinking of writing a complain to the minister about this because it's the responsibility of the district's health office to support me with whatever I request because I'm in a direct contact with them but I believe they are busy with corruption and stealing the public money.

At Sunday and as I was on my way to work a road side bomb exploded not far from where I was, it wasn't strong but if I went out of home one minute later I would be close to it but as Mr.Bush is saying life is back to normal! I don't think anybody was severely injured and at that same day a car bomb exploded near the medical city around noon, few hours later two cars exploded in Adhamiya near Awakening checkpoints then there was an interval of silence followed by two hours of continuous shooting! I was buying bottled water from the shop close to my home when a kid came and told the shop owner "Amo Jamal was killed…he was walking near Antar square and 4 bullets entered his chest and killed him" and I don't need to tell you what happened to the shop owner when he heard that but I asked the kid "Who killed him, why is this shooting?" and the kid said "They are Iranians trying to enter Adhamiya and there is a confrontation between the Awakening and the Iranians" but that was what the kid said…I called so many friends and relatives in Adhamiya but no one gave me an answer that he is sure about, some said that they were Iranians (the kid), some said they were from the "Support" who are another kind of Awakening and some said it's between the Awakening of Adhamiya and Raghiba Khatoon while some said it's between the Awakening themselves….I might meet with a high ranked officer in the Awakening in the coming days and I'll update this post with what he will say.

I want to strongly condemn the ugly crime of killing four brave journalists from AlSharqiya channel of the program "Fotorkm Alena" (your Iftar is on our expense) it really squeezed my heart with an iron fist, they were two cameramen, a driver and the producer of the program in Mousil…The program is about going to an afflicted family everyday (a women who lost her husband due to violence and have many young kids or Iraqi refugees in the neighboring countries living in miserable conditions) and stay with them for that day preparing a good Iftar meal and giving them home appliances that worth 2000$ as a gift, 2000$ cash and a Quran …I can't describe the happiness on the faces of those afflicted Iraqis, I watch this show daily after I eat my Iftar and I feel so happy because at least today some of those poor Iraqis felt happiness and their situation improved a little and I couldn't but thank AlSharqiya for what they did and continue doing until it was the disaster and the will of evil to kill whatever good there is….the cast of the program were preparing the show in AlZangeele in Mousil but they were kidnapped in an SUV with 5 gunmen and they were taken out of AlZangeele where the cowards killed the brave warriors…and I feel that some evident must be told, AlZangeele is a weapons free area and it has been sterilized from the insurgents and all the entrances and exits of it are well guarded and under total control of the Iraqi army, so how could the gunmen kidnap and kill the brave warriors unless those cowards were from the government! The government took AlSharqiya as its enemy and it closed their offices so many times and banned them from working in Iraq for several months, AlSharqiya channel is accusing the government for this crime.
I'm honored to salute all the free and honest Journalists working in Iraq and tell them that they are real warriors in my eyes; they are the warriors of truth, god bless you….for the four brave warriors of AlSharqiya, rest in peace and may heaven be your eternal home because you deserve it.

The above photos are for the families of the brave journalists.

Really great post, Mohammad. Angels on your pillow and for all the jounalists and citizen journalists in Iraq. The government has got to keep their promise to the members of The Awakening and stop the persecution. It's the only way to stop the civil war within Iraq. There will always be disagreements. Our civil war was in the 1860s and we still have problems that are from that time, but at least it's usually not manifested with violence. It is sometimes, but rarely.

Thank you for your great blogging. Getting a glimpse of what is going in inside Iraq really helps me understand the gravity of the situation. May you and your family stay safe.

Dr. Mohammed:

I had read of the cowardly assasination of those four journalists. What a shame! They actually were a sign that some normalcy was returning to Iraq. Maybe that was their big crime that required their death. Whoever did it will rot in Hell, there are NO VIRGINS for cowardly thugs.

Good will prevail over evil in Iraq. It may seem hard to believe right now, but there are just to many good Iraqis for this not to be true. A better crop of secular and honest politicians and more killing and arresting of thugs and murderers will turn things around. Average everyday Iraqis will persevere.

Good luck and God Bless.

I'm glad that some degree of efficiency has been restored to the Ministry of Health. That is very good news. Things should only get better from now on. You did write this, though:

"I'm thinking of writing a complain to the minister about this because it's the responsibility of the district's health office to support me with whatever I request because I'm in a direct contact with them but I believe they are busy with corruption and stealing the public money."

*Please* be careful if this is what you intend to do. Other Iraqis have been assassinated when trying to expose corruption. Only do this if you are sure that the person to whom you are writing can be trusted and is not somehow involved in the stealing. If you are not sure, speak to people that know the official in question and get a feeling for the situation. Or send the letter anonymously. The last thing you need is grief for trying to be an honourable citizen amongst thieves. Good luck!

In this context, i suppose "the Iranians" term refers to Iraqi Security Forces, which recently are hell bent on ending the Awakening and establishing dictatorship for Maliki&Co.

interesting blog i may say, very well detailed and useful information from the heart of the battle.

i think that many iraqis were naive to believe that a country so far away from mesopotamia thousands of miles came just to free them and turn iraqi to dubai in just a week. it seems that humans have never learned to learn from history. history repeats itself. what is happening in iraq is simply pure colonization, occupation but others who are benefiting financially on the account of iraqi blood and virtue call it liberation. in my own humble opinion i believe that the americans will stay in iraq not less than 10 years from now and no more than 17 years. and whethere obama or mccain are elected, either way the americans wont leave. personaly and frankly speaking i dont believe obama when he says he will withdraw the troops within 18 months.

for a simple reason, the moment the last american soldier leaves iraqi soil, iraqis will face another colonoization which i call the persian colonoization, not forgetting that clear civil war will erupt. all these strange things that we see in irqi from cholera, rape, prostitution, drug business.... are all a result of what week pupets call liberation.

keep up the good work mohammed

LJM,
Well I wish that too otherwise really bad things might happen, some say they will keep them, some say they will join them with the police and some say that they will join some of them with the police and will give the rest other jobs…I'll write a detailed post about this soon.

Hardy Haberman,
Thank you…I'm glad I'm able to give some parts of the truth for those who are interested in the truth.

Joe,
Of course this will happen eventually….but the problem is when? And how much will be sacrificed to achieve this? There are plenty of good real Iraqis but there are two major problems….first: most of them were forced to leave Iraq and second: the ones that are still in Iraq are not given the chance to do anything because politics in Iraq now is more like a mafia business…it will be a really hard way and I wish I could see the light in my lifetime…dramatic events and actions are required to accelerate the process….we need some kind of a leader that history rarely gives birth to….In my opinion we need someone like K.Ataturk to fix the situation, someone who is so strong, brave, patriotic and doesn't fear anyone or anything.

Bruno,
What you said is the only reason I haven't done this till now but you know, sometimes I think if I didn't do the right thing because I'm afraid and the others wouldn't do that because they are afraid too then who will do it? When will we continue being afraid, when we will stop being terrorized…I want to do it in the smartest way possible that will cause minimum damage to me and maximum damage to the corrupted bastards.

Anon.,
It was just a kid who said so and most probably it isn't the truth and you are right AlMaliki is pushed by AlHakim to end the awakening because he didn't want them at the first place and as I said above I'll write a detailed post about this soon.

Al-Hussain Arshad
Thank you….well, as you said if we look at the history of course they will leave eventually but will this be in our lifetime? I think they wouldn't completely leave in less than 20 years and you are right whether McCain or Obama won it's the same.
I agree with majority of what you said and I wrote about it in older posts but I think it's the first time you visit my blog…
BTW, are you the son of Arshad Yassin that we know or it's just a name resemblance?

Great post, Dr Mohammed.
Surprised to hear Iranians are fighting in the streets of Iraq! Are you sure?
I agree with Bruno - complaining is dangerous. You think the local offices don't care if their corruption is stopped? They'll kill you. Tell your patients to complain.

[English correction: I'm a 25-year-old dentist. I teach English. I can't help finding errors. Sorry if this bothers you.]
